.SYNOPSIS...
Similar temperatures in the deserts for tomorrow, while some cooling
in the coast and valleys on Thursday spreads inland for Friday
and Saturday. Saturday high temperatures will be within a few
degrees of average. A few to around 5 degrees warmer on Sunday,
then gradually cooler through Wednesday of next week. There will
be stronger and gusty southwest to west winds during the afternoon
and evening for the mountains and deserts on Thursday and Friday.
Fog will be locally dense near the coast Thursday morning, with
night and morning coastal low clouds and fog spreading into
portions of the inland valleys by the weekend as the marine layer
deepens.

COUNTIES...

This evening...The marine layer is about as deep as yesterday,
with low clouds and fog increasing in coverage along the coast and
over the coastal waters. High-resolution models indicate low
clouds and fog with a little more areal coverage than last
night/this morning. There will be about a 40-60 percent chance of
dense patchy dense fog on elevated coastal terrain.

From previous discussion...
Winds will likely strengthen in the mountains and high deserts for
the afternoon and evening tomorrow (Thursday). Strongest winds
will be through Banning Pass, with gusts possibly over 50 mph at
times going into late evening tomorrow. At this time, there is
still not enough in the way of widespread winds reaching
thresholds to warrant the issuance of a Wind Advisory, although
after decoupling a bit Thursday night into Friday morning, they
will strengthen again by Friday afternoon.

Low clouds are going to regather and fill back in during the evening
hours, and some of the inland areas will see patchy fog as well.
These clouds should begin to lift slightly and thicken by Friday
morning ahead of the next approaching low pressure trough. There
will be a slight chance of drizzle for Friday night into Saturday
morning.

Models continue to show the ridge breaking down after today and
leading to temperatures becoming cooler and closer to the
seasonal average by this weekend. Saturday will likely be the
coolest day for the next week, then it will be slightly warmer on
Sunday as a weak transient ridge moves over the region. The ridge
will shift east and weaken, and troughing upstream over the
Pacific Northwest will continue to advance towards SoCal and
allow for the increase of the marine layer and slightly cooler
temperatures as a result, closer to the average, and this slight
cooling trend will continue over the weekend. Low clouds will
continue to stick around for most of the coastal areas and
portions of the inland valleys, especially on Saturday. By the
early part of next week, a weak upper level low could move down
the over California and reinforce a some cooler temperatures with
a slight chance of precipitation, mainly west of the mtns.

220330Z...Coast...Patchy low clouds based 400-800 feet MSL over the
water at the immediate coast continue to expand in coverage. Vis 0-
5SM in BR, with LIFR conditions over higher and inland coastal
terrain. Scatter out Thursday 15-17Z. Low clouds with slightly
higher bases - 1000-1500 feet MSL - return 02-05Z Friday, pushing
inland 5-10 miles.

Elsewhere...Clear with unrestricted vis through Thursday.
